[News] Have You Heard About The New African American Marvel Hero?

When you think of Black Marvel Comic heros, we normally only think of Storm of the X-Men. However, The Falcon is a comic book legend. Thankfully, we’ll be seeing more of this hero in an upcoming movie, “Captain America-The Winter Soldier”. He’ll be played by Anthony Mackie.

According to Marvel history, The Falcon was one of Marvel’s first super heroes. When asked in a recent interview, the actor who played in “Man on a Ledge”, “Notorious”, “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”, etc.. had this to say about his new role.

“I’m playing the Falcon. He’s this guy in Harlem who moved to California and became a drug dealer. His plane crashed, and he was genetically altered, and he can fly, has telepathic powers. He’s the first African-American superhero. It makes me feel all the work I’ve done has been paying off. I have a son, nephews and nieces, and I love the idea that they can dress up as the Falcon on Halloween. They now have someone they can idolize. That’s a huge honor for me.”

Hopefully, getting into character wont be too much for Mackie. He has the responsibility of playing the first African American Marvel Comic Hero.
