[Sports News] WWE Announcer Jerry “The King” Lawler Collapses On Air
Everybody knows wrestling is fake, but what happened beside the ring tonight was something as real as can be.
WWE superstar Jerry “The King” Lawler, who is best known for his announcing on the franchises programming, collapsed live on Raw tonight, not long after fighting in the ring in a tag team match.
Medical teams who were sitting ringside attended to Lawler immediately and according to his announce partner Michael Cole, received CPR and was then taken to a hospital in Montreal by ambulance.
Recent updates by the WWE say that he is awaiting a CT scan, adding that,
“his condition has stabilized. He’s breathing on his own, and his heart is beating on its own.”
After “The King’s” incident the show went on as planned only without any announcing, with only Cole, who was visibly shaken up giving updates on Lawler’s situation.
Fox News is reporting that it is believed that he may have suffered a stroke or heart attack.
More updates will be posted as they become available.
