[Video] President Obama Responds to Nicki Minaj Line

In an election year, Obama has to be informed about everything, even comments that Nicki Minaj made on Lil’ Wayne freestyle.

Minaj was featured in the freestyle version of Mercy that is included in Lil’ Wayne newest mixtape Dedication 4 hosted by DJ Drama.

The verse that caused so much controversy was,

“”I’m a Republican, voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy bitches is fuckin’ up the economy.”

Well when questioned about the line on Power 95.3′s Obie & Lil Shawn show the president said,

“Yeah, I’m not sure that’s actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. But she likes to play different characters. So I don’t know what’s going on there.”

It looks like he is trying to keep up with the music as he does have a nice little collection of hip hop on his iPod.

“There’s a certain point where your kids get old enough where they’re just hipper than you are, and Michelle and I, for folks of 50 or as she likes to point out close to 50, because she’s not 50 yet, we try to keep up so we’ve got a nice Hip Hop collection on our iPods.”

Sounds like Nicki Minaj listened to the show soon after, as the Young Money rapper responded to his comments on her twitter.
