Mariah Carey To Host American Idol?
According to Fox New Latino, Mariah Carey will become the new host of American Idol, replacing Jennifer Lopez.
“We do in fact have one judge whose deal closed very, very recently,”
“I think it’s the biggest recording artist that any of these shows have ever had. It’s an artist that many contestenats have tried to emulate, have tried to sing [her] songs, have tried to hit the notes. Because [the deal] really only concluded hours ago, our new judge couldn’t be with us,” said Fox Entertainment president Kevin Reilly at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

Mariah Carey also released a statement to the Hollywood Reporter,
“I am so excited to be joining Idol,” said Carey.
“I wish I could be there today. I can’t wait too get started.”
Officials are still unsure about whether Randy Jackson is to return to the show as well.

Fox is looking for the right combination of judges that would fit together,
“It’s just a matter of picking the right one [and finding the] right chemistry.”
The reported amount of the deal is $17 million according to Deadline.
How do you think she will fit on the show?
