The NBA Draft is tonight at 7:30 on ESPN, and in the hours and days before the draft, there is much action going on in the league.

The moves began on June 20 when the New Orleans Hornets sent former Laker Trevor Ariza and center Emeka Okafor to the Washington Wizards for forward Rashard Lewis and a 2012 second-round draft pick.
Trades continued this week as the Minnesota Timberwolves acquired forward Chase Budinger and the rights to forward Lior Eliyahu from Houston for the 18th overall draft pick in the draft, and Detroit traded their shooting guard Ben Gordon and a future first-round draft choice to the Bobcats for guard Corey Maggette.

The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets are both without first round picks, after trades that leave fans of both teams scratching their heads.
The Knicks lost their first round pick after trading it to Houston for Tracy McGrady several years ago, and the Nets traded away the number six pick in the draft during the season to the Portland Trailblazers for Gerald Wallace, who elected for free agency this summer.
