Meek Mill Reacts to Over Two Million Downloads of Dreamchasers 2 Mixtape

Meek Mill has done it again. Last year, the 2011 XXL Freshman shook up the rap game, dropping the DJ Drama-hosted Dreamchasers mixtape, featuring summer anthems like “I’ma Boss” with Rick Ross and “House Party.”
Last week, the MMG artist released the highly anticipated sequel, Dreamchasers 2, to an overwhelming response from fans that ultimately crashed the popular mixtape website, with over 200,000 downloads in the first few hours.
Now, just a week after its release, Dreamchasers 2 stands at nearly 2,700,000 downloads.
“2 million downloads in a day or two? I’m just blessed,” Meek told MTV this past weekend in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where he and his MMG family performed.

While the Philly MC is enjoying the success of his new tape, fans can look forward to hearing more new music very soon. MMG’s compilation, Self Made, Vol. 2, is scheduled for release on June 26, followed by Meek’s upcoming debut album, Dreams & Nightmares, set to hit stores August 28.
